Weltmeyer's Song and Contador (2010 Colt by Conteur) Champion Mare and Champion Foal at Fort Vancouver Dressage Show in Washington!
Weltmeyer's Song was, once again, the Champion Mare at the 2010 Fort Vancouver Dressage Show. In addition, her 2010 colt, Contador, was the Champion Foal of the show at three weeks of age!
We are extremely proud of the production record of this mare, that includes 2008 US National Champion Hanoverian Mare, EMC Frangelica and our promising young Sandro Hit son, San Dante. Weltmeyer's Song was a State Premium Candidate (SPA) in Germany before we imported her and she been consistently producing quality foals for us ever since. Contador is offered for sale to a discriminating buyer.

Weltmeyer's Song Produces a Black filly by the German Hanoverian Verband's 2008 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year, DeNiro!
Weltmeyer's Song has a filly by DeNiro!
Weltmeyer's Song Produces a Black filly by the German Hanoverian Verband's 2008 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year, De Niro! Our dreams have come true! We've been blessed with a gorgeous coal black filly with a star by De Niro...and she's already showing world class potential. Weltmeyer's Song gave birth to a beautiful black filly on March 2, 2009. This filly is a tall, elegant filly with a gorgeous head. Sold in utero to Catherine Pike, Brooke Voldbaek's assistant at Sonnenberg Farm in Portland, Oregon, Catherine purchased this foal to be her future dressage star. As this filly, named De Soleil, is out of the same dam at EMC Frangelica and our young Sandro Hit stallion prospect, San Dante, we are betting on her to win the US National Champion mare title in 2013...and to be a top US contender in the USDF Materiale and USEF Young Dressage Horse competitions as well. Watch for De Soleil in the show ring......and congratulations, Catherine!

With a median score of 80.275% in the showring in 2008 was the second highest scoring mare in the country in the 4 YO & Older Maiden/Yeld Mare division. EMC Frangelica Wins Champion Mare Title at Northwest Sport Horse Breeders Classic
Getting the final nod from Judge Hilda Gurney, EMC Frangelica was the Champion Mare at the Northwest Sport Horse Breeders Classic. This is the largest, most prestigious sporthorse competition in the Pacific Northwest, so we were extremely proud of this win. What makes this win more special is that Hilda Gurney also named EMC Frangelica's dam, Weltmeyer's Song, the Champion Mare of this show in 2005! Like mother, like daughter....further proof of the quality of horses produced at Hardenberg Farms.

Frangelica Completes AHS Mare Performance Test and is Awarded Title of "Elite Mare Candidate" (EMC)
American Hanoverian Society (AHS) mare performace tests are a comprehensive set of tests to determine the overall quality and performance ability of Hanoverian mares prior to their use in breeding. Only mares with scores of 7 or higher in all catagories are awarded the title of Elite Mare Candidate (EMC). After producing a live foal, the mare's title is then comfirmed and permamently changed to that of an "Elite Mare" (EM). This is equivalent to the States Premium Stute (SPS) award earning by Hanoverian mares through performance testing and producing a live foal in Germany. Frangelica (Frenchman x Weltmeyer's Song) completed her AHS mare performance test in 2008. She is a multi-talented mare, performing well under saddle and over fences like many of the daughters of Frenchman, her sire that stands at stud at the Hanoverian State Stud in Celle, Germany. We are proud to announce that after a comprehensive performance test that included a conformational evaluation, evaluation of gaits, a dressage performance test under saddle and judging of jumping ability over fences, Frangelica was awared the title of an Elite Mare Candidate (EMC) and thus her name is now changed to EMC Frangelica!

Grand Champion Horse of Show at First Show With New Owner!
The Beaujolais Dressage Show in June 2008, one of the largest in the Seattle, Washington area, turned out to be a "dream come true" for Sharon Nichols, the new owner of Frangelica.
In the capable hands of Andrea Lucianna of Half Trak Farm, Arlington, WA, Frangelica won her mare class, was the Champion Mare of Show, Grand Champion Horse of Show (defeating some very nice stallions and geldings) and won the 4 & 5 Year Old Young Dressage Horse class. This was Sharon's first horse show and she was ecstatic! In her excited call to us, she said that "the ribbons Frangelica won were as big as Easter hats!" Congratulations to Sharon, Andrea and Frangelica!

June 2008
One of the Top Hanoverian Mares in the USA!
Frangelica is now EMC Frangelica!
Through the American Hanoverian Society (AHS) Mare Performance Testing program, Frangelica earned high enough scores in July 2008 to qualify for this elite title. She is one of only 26 mares in the USA on this year's AHS summer inspection tour to earn this title. Interestingly enough, nine of these 26 mares were bred in Germany and imported to the USA. Hence, she is one of an elite group of American-bred Hanoverians to receive this prestigious honor. Once again, congratulations to Sharon, Andrea & Frangelica. After having a foal in the future, Frangelica will then automatically become an "Elite Mare" with AHS and her name will then change to EM Frangelica! We all look forward to some wonderful foals after her career in the show ring.
