Viva Vivaldi named Top Filly at the Washington/ Oregon Pacific Northwest AHS Mare & Foal Inspection!

AHS Zara 1At just three months of age, SPS Scarlett’s big moving filly by Vivaldi KWPN (Krack C – Jazz) wowed the crowd and impressed the judges at the only AHS Mare & Foal Inspection this year in the Pacific Northwest. Judges Meg Williams (Oakwood Hanoverians, Indiana) & Volker Ehlers gave the nod to Viva Vivaldi (aka “Zara”) for the Top Filly Award. Many compliments were paid to the filly by Ms. Williams, who said “she was one of the typest fillies she had seen on the national tour this year” and like her “three correct gaits”. She also said,”But looking at her mother. That is just a BEAUTIFUL mare!” Many thanks to the judges and to Nancy Connolly of Horse Power Farm, Vancouver, WA for hosting the event at Cornerstone Hunter Jumper’s barn in Portland. It was a lovely inspection and enjoyed by all. This inspection photo is special, as Zara’s quality shows through her “buckskin colored baby fuzz” and myself, my daughter Rachel (handling Scarlett) and Volker are all having fun in the picture. Thank you Jana Peterson for the great photos!
