Debuted in the showring at three weeks of age and was named Champion Foal at the Ft. Vancouver Dressage Show in Washington! Sired by Conteur, a dually talented black bay stallion ranked in the top 10% of dressage and jumping sires in Germany finished his stallion performance test as Reserve Champion title with the highest score in rideability. He was then leased for several years by the Hanoverian State Stud in Celle.

Sired by the internationally reknown show jumper, Burggraaf, a son of Landgraf I, who died in 2006 and has very few offspring offered for sale now. In his first season as a breeding stallion, Burggraaf covered only 40 mares, but from that year, two foals went on to become international showjumpers, under the Austrian rider, Thomas Frühmann and Holland's Roelof Bril. Roelof Bril was also the rider who started Burggraaf in national and international competitions. The pair cleared the puissance wall at Indoor Brabant at a height of 2.10 metres (almost 7 feet!)
